4. Getting Started

Charging your Conaqua Rechargeable Optical Liquid Mouse

Plug the charging cable from a USB power source to your Rechargeable Optical Liquid Mouse.

For best results, please fully charge your Optical Liquid Mouse prior to using it for the first time. If the Optical Liquid Mouse has not been in use for an extended period of time, it may need to be recharged before use.

The charging cable can also be plugged from your computer’s USB port to your Optical Liquid Mouse. This connection type acts as the wired mode for your Conaqua device.

The Optical Liquid Mouse requires a USB connection which can sufficiently supply power to charge the battery. The charging process may be affected if the Optical Liquid Mouse is either connected to a non-powered USB hub, or to ports found on peripherals, such as keyboards or connectivity converters. For optimal charging, preferably connect the Optical Liquid Mouse directly to the computer’s USB port. Under optimal charging conditions, the mouse will take approximately 10 minutes to fully charge.

Connecting your Conaqua Rechargeable Optical Liquid Mouse

  1. Remove the USB wireless dongle from the packaging
  2. Insert the USB wireless dongle into your computer’s USB port
  3. Toggle the switch on the Optical Liquid Mouse from the OFF to the ON position

5. Safety and Maintenance

Safety Guidelines

Should you experience issues operating the device properly, and troubleshooting does not succeed, unplug the device and contact Conaqua support through conaqua.net/support. Do not attempt to service or fix the device for yourself at any time.

Do not take apart the device, and do not attempt to operate it under abnormal current loads. Proceeding with any of these actions will void your warranty.

Keep the device away from liquid, humidity, or moisture external to the device itself. Operate the device only within the temperature range of 0 °C (or 32 °F) to 40 °C or (104 °F). Should the temperature exceed this range, unplug or power off the device until the temperature reduces and stabilizes.

Cleaning

To clean the device, a ratio of 70% isopropyl alcohol to 30% water can be used, with a soft cloth or cotton swab. Other cleaning agents may cause damage. Bleach is not recommended by the CDC.

6. Troubleshooting / FAQ

Scroll Button Doesn’t Work

  1. Verify that the receiver is directly connected to the computer and not to a peripheral, such as a USB hub or USB extender.
  2. Clean the button with compressed air.
  3. Check whether your computer’s OS and device drivers are up to date. If needed, update outdated drivers.
  4. Windows only: Try updating the motherboard USB chipset driver

Erratic Cursor Movement

  1. Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
  2. Ensure that the optical lens on the bottom of the mouse is clean.
  3. Check that the surface you are using has enough of a texture or variance so that the device can detect movement (a mouse pad is best).
  4. Move the mouse closer to the USB receiver. If the USB receiver is located in the back of your computer, try to plug it in to a port closer to the front, so that the receiver signal is not blocked by the computer case.
  5. To avoid interference, keep other electrical wireless devices away from the USB receiver.
  6. Check whether your computer’s OS and device drivers are up to date.

Computer Unable to Pair with the Mouse or Unable to Detect the USB Receiver

  1. Check whether the device is found in Devices and Printers. If the device is not there, follow steps 2, 3, and 4.
  2. If the receiver is connected to a peripheral, such as a USB hub or USB extender, try connecting the receiver to a port directly to the computer motherboard.
  3. Try a different USB port. If a USB 3.0 port was previously used, try connecting it to a USB 2.0 port.
  4. Check whether your computer’s OS and device drivers are up to date. If needed, update outdated drivers.
  5. Windows only: Try to update the motherboard USB chipset driver
